9 nabbed in ‘drug den’, P102-K in ‘shabu’ seized

BACOLOD City – An alleged drug den at Barangay 5, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental was dismantled by authorities last Sunday.

The operation also resulted in the arrest of nine persons and seizure of P102,000 worth of suspected shabu.

According to a police report, Dominio Navales, 30, of Barangay 6 allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer.

Eight other persons, including a teacher and a tricycle driver, were also caught at the said drug den.

Recovered from them were 15 grams of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, P500 marked money, and P200.

The operation was conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) -Negros Occidental, Antique and Guimaras, in coordination with the San Carlos City Police Station.

Charges for violation of Sections 5 (sale of dangerous drugs);6 (maintaining a drug den); 7 (visiting a drug den); 11 (illegal possession of dangerous drugs); and 12 (illegal possession of drug paraphernalia) of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are now being prepared against the suspects.
