The Iloilo City government has recently expanded its COVID-19 vaccination roll-out by conducting barangay-based vaccination, door-to-door vaccination, and targeting specific areas such as public markets, establishments, and even subdivisions.
Every Thursday, the border controls in the city will be lifted and the city’s vaccination will be open to all whether they are pre-registered or not and whether they are from the city or province of Iloilo.
On Tuesday, the city also opened its vaccination roll-out to non-residents. A total of 2,660 individuals whether residents or non-residents of the city were inoculated with Covid-19 vaccines.
Mayor Jerry Treñas has reminded Ilonggos to have themselves vaccinated against COVID-19 amid the increasing number of cases.
“As we continue to conduct our vaccination efforts, the number of those getting protected is also increasing,” he said. (ERS)
