TWO veteran booters will reinforce Ceres-Negros FC in their upcoming matches.
Defender Álvaro Silva and Ronilio Bayan Jr. have officially joined the Bacolod City-based club.
Silva began his career with La Liga club Málaga CF as a member of the youth team before joining both its B team and first team. He recently played with Malaysia Super League club Kedah FA, where they finished sixth in the league last season.
Meanwhile, Bayan replaces goalkeeper Toni Doblas who left Ceres-Negros FC.
Bayan used to be play for the defunct Davao Aguilas FC. He also played for Arellano University, where he was named NCAA best goalkeeper. He also won several titles with the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde senior team.
Aside from Silva and Bayan, Ceres also signed Miguel Tanton, Dylan De Bruycker, Dennis Villanueva, and Angelo Marasigan.
The team is one of eight clubs competing in the 2019 Philippine Premier League, which replaced the Philippines Football League (PFL). It is scheduled to run from March to December, alongside Copa Paulino Alcantara.
