BACOLOD City – Ninety-seven personnel of Police Regional Office (PRO)-7 are undergoing internal security operations training for a month and half at the training school of the 3rd Infantry Division (ID) of the Philippine Army in Jamindan, Capiz.

The police trainees arrived at the army camp last Tuesday, along with Brigadier General Debold Sinas, PRO-7 director.

The said training is part of the collaborative efforts of the Army and Philippine National Police (PNP) in implementing internal security operations through the expanded cross- trained training, a press release said.

It is designed to train and equip police personnel with right attitude, knowledge, skills, and capability on public safety in order to secure the people against criminality, violence, terrorism and threats of insurgency.

Major General Dinoh Dolina, 3ID commander, said “as partner agency in securing the people against any form of threat and violence, sharing of knowledge between the Army and PNP is necessary for us to come up with an effective and resilient inter-agency effort in addressing and resolving peace and security concerns in the region.”

It can be recalled that the army training school also catered the PNP basic internal security course (BISOC) wherein 317 police personnel from PRO-6 in Iloilo City completed the course in May this year. These police personnel were trained by 25 community support program (CSP) instructors from 3ID.
