Kaya FC-Iloilo’s team captain, Jovin Bedic, has once again been called to represent the nation and join the Azkals. To recall, Bedic joined the Azkals last year where he delivered a goal against Thailand.
The pride of Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo, Bedic is no stranger to the international football scene, being called up numerous times by the national team. Now, with a deeper roster and more talent, the PH squad may have one of the strongest rosters in Azkals history. They will go against China in the second round Joint Qualification World Cup 2022 and Asian Cup 2023.
Ceres’ Jose Elmer Porteria, Mike Ott, Carlo De Murga, and Stephan Schrock will join Bedic as the only players chosen playing in the Philippines Football League (PFL). Football fanatics went crazy when pioneer Azkals goalkeeper, Neil Etheridge, announced his comeback to the team. The Philippine Azkals will defend their home pitch against China this October 15, 2019 at the Panaad Stadium, Bacolod.
