CARD MRI Rizal Bank, a microfinance-oriented rural bank, opened its branch in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on October 15, 2019. The newly-opened office is the bank’s 28th branch nationwide.
The bank opening was led by CARD RBI President and CEO Elma B. Valenzuela, and member of the Board of Directors Suzette Marquez. Present also were clients and members of CARD RBI.
Said Valenzuela, the bank opening in Negros Occidental is one step toward reaching financial inclusion.
“This is CARD RBI’s way of fulfilling our commitment to bring financial access to communities. We are happy with the warm welcome of the people of Negros. This only shows that more people in the countryside are in need of banking services,” said Valenzuela.
CARD RBI’s 28th branch is located at V. Gustilo St., Cor. Dos Hermanos St., Brgy. III, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Since its acquisition in October 2012, CARD RBI has served 467,690 clients, with PhP7,168,148,266 amount of loan disbursed, and 99.14% repayment rate.
