Three crowns that will represent Iloilo City in three of the biggest national pageants are at stake for 11 Ilongga beauties competing in Miss Iloilo 2020.
The 11 official candidates of Miss Iloilo 2020 were presented to the media at the Gateway Hotel in Pavia town in Iloilo on Nov 23, 2019.
Bb. Pilipinas Executive Committee Raymond Villanueva, who helped in the special master classes for the candidates, graced the event.
The 11 Miss Iloilo hopefuls are:
- Cyra Jagunap – Leganes
- Desiree Jane Tubaon – Igbaras
- Tarilaye John Beke – Pavia
- Rabiya Mateo – Balasan
- Desiree Rendoque- Cabatuan
6.Sharamie Solocio – Sta. Barbara
- Blessie Villablanca – Lapaz
- Khesha Ramanchandran- Lapuz
- Darra Sadsad – Arevalo
- Karen Mendoza – Concepcion
- Ann Palmares – Dumanggas
Miss Iloilo 2020 Chairman Sarah Peña said the 11 candidates underwent rigid selection process during the screenings held on Nov 3 and 9.
“These lucky candidates have undergone rigid training of their skills and intelligence were tested. It was a challenging yet fulfilling task. These ladies epitomize the women of today, smart, graceful, beautiful and kind which is actually captured in our theme, “Heartfelt Beauty”,” Peña said.
According to Peña, she is confident that the ladies will bring honor to Iloilo City once they compete in the international scene.
“We are confident that these ladies can represent our beloved Iloilo not only in the local scene but most especially in the international scene,” she said.
Three crowns await the top three winners – Miss Iloilo 2020, Miss Iloilo-Binibini 2020, and Miss Iloilo-World 2020.
Miss Iloilo 2020 will represent Iloilo City in the Miss Earth pageant while Miss Iloilo-Binibini 2020 and Miss Iloilo-World will represent the city in Binibining Pilipinas and Miss World, respectively.
The organizers clarified that the winners will still undergo selection process in the three national pageants.
Meanwhile, the Casual Wear Competition for Miss Iloilo 2020 is set on Jan 11, 2020 at SM City Northpoint while the Talent Competition is on Jan 18 at the Festive Walk Mall.
An outreach program will also be held on Jan 19 at the Robinson’s Place Iloilo.
The main pageant night will be on Jan 23, 2020 at the West Visayas State University (WVSU) Cultural Center.
