THE yuletide season is in full-bloom as the legendary Hotel Del Rio held a cocktail party that signalled their much awaited “ White Heritage” themed Christmas Tree lighting ceremony that likewise celebrated the said plush hotel’s 54th anniversary.
Under the leadership of business mogul Don Alfonso Tan, Hotel Del Rio’s Chairman, and Helen Tan with their son CEO Allan Tan, the ceremony dramatically kicked off with no less than Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas.
Renowned for its old world charm and holding events and activities that perfectly resemble Ilonggo tradition, Hotel del Rio’s General property Manager Eden Momblan and Corporate PR Manager Edna Gepte collaborated with the talented Architect Edgar Suelo who outdid himself with his unique and awesome white Christmas ensembles made out of indigenous materials such as. Rafia… Balls made of lanot rope… Bamboos… Uhot.. Embroidered lace with payettes… Sequence… Beads… Flowers made of slices bamboos… Twigs… Feathers… Native bags… on the Christmas tree and native lanterns.
Highlighting the glittering affair was the Noche Buena themed dinner splashed with flowing wines amidst the voices of Sidlangan choir who serenaded everyone with classic Christmas Songs.
