Almost 623 residents of Barangay Payao in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental have availed of the free medical services, feeding and gift-giving project conducted by the Rotary Club of Bacolod, the San Blas Academy Batch ’85, and project partners on December 7, 2019 at the Barangay Payao covered-court gymnasium.
Dedicated to saving and making lives better for the less fortunate people, the Rotary Club of Bacolod in partnership with the San Blas Academy Alumni Batch ’85 organized the medical mission and feeding program that focuses on remote communities having limited access to basic healthcare.
The activity was in line with Disease Prevention and Treatment.
Services rendered range from medical consultations to check-up. The recipients also received prescription medicines for free.
The activity was carried out by the volunteer-doctors from the Binalbagan Municipal Health unit, Himamaylan City Health unit, 5th District Local Health Zone, the Bacolod Adventist Medical Center in coordination with the Brgy. Payao barangay officials.
Leading the gift-giving activity is Rotary Club of Bacolod President Frederick Anthony de Leon with The Rotary Foundation Director Pauline Cauycong, assisted by Director Marjorie Dino, Rotaractor VP Mikhail Molbog of the Rotaract Club of Bacolod-Community Based, the Rotaractors and the alumnus of San Blas Academy Batch ’85.
