ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Police are itching for the issuance of the arrest warrant against a Korean and his Capiceña partner who are accused of illegal recruitment activities here.
Police Master Sergeant Ronnie Recto, Roxas City PNP investigator, said they are in a hurry to receive and serve the warrant of arrest to Korean national Kim Taehyeong and Ramilyn Andrade of Capiz.
Recto said that arresting the duo is a step closer to giving justice to 261 individuals who were victims of alleged illegal recruitment.
Based on the latest monitoring by police, Kim and Andrade are still in Capiz because of the hold order issued by the court, the reason why they cannot leave the country.
The complainants want the suspects to return the placement fees they paid.
Recto said Kim is willing to refund the victims.
Most of the victims filed syndicated estafa against Kim and Andrade before the court here after the suspects failed to send the victims to South Korea to work as factory workers.
The applicants paid P73,000 each as placement fees. They were also promised a salary of P100,000 for female worker and P120,000 for the males.
