ROXAS CITY, Capiz— Some P400,000 worth of suspected illegal drugs were recovered from four persons arrested in a drug buy-bust operation Saturday at Barangay Baybay here.
Police identified the suspects as Eugene Baylon, 37, of Brgy. San Jose; Cherry Trifalgar, 45, of Brgy.Baybay; Vicente Villaruel, 40, of Brgy. Inzo Arnaldo; and Anthony Dela Cruz, 44, Brgy. Lawaan, all in Roxas City.
The four were collared in an apartment by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Capiz Police Provincial Office.
The suspects were all drug surrenderers and were arrested for the same offense but they were freed after a plea bargaining agreement.
Recovered from the suspects were eight big plastic sachets of suspected shabu with estimated weight of 40 grams, P1,000 marked money, and several drug paraphernalias.
Charges for violations of RA 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 will be filed against them this Monday.
Meanwhile, Ariel Loberes, 43, of Poblacion Tabuc Mambusao, Capiz was arrested by Mambusao police in a drug bust operation Saturday evening at Barangay Poblacion Proper, Mambusao, Capiz.
Recovered from the suspect seven sachets of suspected shabu, two pieces of P1,000 paper bill used as marked money and two folded aluminium foil.
The suspect is presently detained at the Mambusao police station while charges will be filed against him.
