Sofia Kenin stunned Garbine Muguruza in the 2020 Australian Open Women’s singles finals, coming back from a set down, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.

The 21-year old American tennis sensation made history as the youngest player to be hailed as queen of the Australian Open in 12 years after outlasting the more experienced Muguruza.

Kenin’s aggressiveness from her first-round win to the finals was carried on and was in full-display against Muguruza as she just whooped her during baseline rallies.

Kenin’s attacks against Muguruza allowed her a small window to prepare in the baseline or in front of the net.

Soon as the second set started, Kenin’s employed a variety of attacks that kept Muguruza on her toes and left her unsure of how to counter against the youngster.

Muguruza’s inability to run off the baseline cost her the match that enabled the 21-year old to play aggresive and win the championship trophy.
