A woman’s body was found in a ravine in Lambunao, Iloilo morning of Feb. 17, 2020.
The Lambunao Police Station said the body was already in an advanced state of decomposition.
Police Major Jogen Suegay, Lambunao police chief, said the victim has yet to be identified
“SOCO (Scene of the Crime Operations) reports said the victim is a female and was around 40 years old,” he said.
The victim may have been dead for about a week already. She had no lower garments when found.
Her head and upper portion of the body was placed inside a culvert pipe at Barangay Tranghawan.
Investigators said a man who was on his way home from a drinking session the night before found the body around 8:40 a.m. Monday.
The Lambunao police said there was no report of a missing woman in the town in the past week.
An autopsy will be conducted to establish the woman’s cause of death.
