BACOLOD City – An estimated P291,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in four separate anti-illegal drug operations in three villages in Silay City, Negros Occidental on April 24 and 26.
On April 26, Rodel Ocera, 41, of Barangay Guinhalaran was arrested in a buy-bust at the said village.
Cops confiscated five sachets of suspected shabu weighing eight grams and valued at P120,000, a cigarette pack, a cellular phone, and the P500 marked money.
Also arrested at the said barangay was Ramon Lerpido, 53, after he allegedly yielded seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing six grams and valued at P90,000, a pouch, an improvised tooter, the P500 marked money, empty plastic sachet, and P600 cash.
In Barangay Mambulac, Joloie Osainas, 27, was collared on the same day, after police responded to reports on the alleged drug den in the area.
Osainas was allegedly caught leading the pot session, police reports indicated.
Police recovered from the suspect a sachet of suspected shabu weighing five grams and valued at P75,000 and drug paraphernalia.
In Barangay Lantad, Alexander Martelino, 24, of the said village, was arrested in a buy-bust at the said village last Friday.
Authorities seized from him six sachets of suspected shabu weighing six grams and valued at P6,000, and the P500 marked money.
Drug charges are being readied against the four suspects.
