For former legendary Gilas coach Chot Reyes, Gabe Norwood of Rain or Shine, LA Tenorio of Ginebra, and the recently retired Ranidel De Ocampo will have bright careers as coaches in the future.
Reyes was talking about the greatest basketball minds in the PH basketball scene during his Webinar stint with Blackwater’s program, and he included his three former players who were a part of the historic 2013 FIBA roster that qualified for the 2014 FIBA World Cup.
“I think LA will be a great coach. I think Ranidel will turn out to be a pretty good coach with his demeanor, his understanding of the game. Gabe Norwood, certainly,” Reyes said.
The prized coach shared his experiences with the trio, and he said that the three will have a bright stint with coaching if they choose to enter the profession.
Tenorio is already on the path, serving as an assistant coach for Bonnie Tan with the Letran Knights who upset the mighty San Beda Red Lions during the 2019 NCAA Men’s basketball finals.
Meanwhile, Norwood and RDO are still not disclosing anything with regards to coaching stints especially RDO who just retired.
