BACOLOD City – The Army’s 303rd Infantry Brigade (IBde), continues to provide manpower and transportation assistance for the hauling of additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) from the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Center (NDRRMC) intended for 18 different hospitals in Negros Occidental.
PSI Air 2007 aircraft arrived at Bacolod-Silay Airport in Silay City, last Tuesday, carrying a total of 270 boxes of PPEs to be distributed to medical frontliners and other health personnel to aid them in the fight against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
The hauling was also done in coordination with the 14th Civil-Military Operations Battalion, Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, and Bureau of Fire Protection.
Colonel Inocencio Pasaporte, 303rd IBde commander, said the Army will continue to support the efforts of the local government unit to prevent the possible spread of COVID-19 in the province.
We will continue to provide troops and our mobility assets. With the help of the members of the Inter-Agency Task Force, we will ensure the swift and unhampered services of your Army in the province, he added.
