It took four years for Denden “The Iron Eagle” Lazaro to stage her much-awaited homecoming from the Philippines Superliga (PSL) to the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).
Once hailed as the Reinforced Conference Best Libero way back 2016, Lazaro then jumped to rival league PSL for the next four years.
However, during the Migs Bustos’ Off the Record show, Lazaro confirmed that she will be heading back to PVL and will beef up the Choco Mucho roster for the upcoming season.
“I’m really happy to be back with my old teammates. I’m familiar with most of the people in the team,” said Lazaro.
Lazaro will be joining her former teammates in the Ateneo Lady Eagles such as Kat Tolentino, Bea de Leon, and Maddie Madayag.
Although Lazaro is already familiar with her teammates, this is her first time playing under the mentorship of coach Oliver Almadro.
“I’ve never played under him, so it’s a new system to get used to,” said the member of the PH national volleyball squad.
