PRO6 celebrates 25th police community relations month

Police Regional Office 6 kicked off the month-long celebration of the 25th Police Community Relations Month on July 1, 2020 at the Multi-Purpose Hall of Camp Martin Teofilo B Delgado in Iloilo City.

The PCR month celebration is an opportune time to strengthen community participation in crime prevention. It is also serves as vehicle in forging stronger partnerships and community support in peacekeeping and public safety programs of the Philippine National Police.

A series of activities are slated in the celebration such as online got talent competition, bloodletting activity, online poster making contest, display of agricultural products at the PRO-6 Multi-Purpose Hall and provincial and city police offices, and gift giving activities.

A motorcade was held Wednesday morning from the PRO-6 headquarters and around Iloilo City. Similar motorcades were also held by different police units in Western Visayas.

The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM), as the head agency, partnered with the PNP and other participating agencies of the government such as the Local Government Units (LGUs) National Government Units (LGUs) and other institutions to further enhance cooperation and collaboration on policing with the community.

Attorney Joseph S Celis, NAPOLCOM-6 Regional Director, was the guest of honor and speaker during the kick-off ceremony.

This year’s theme is “Pinaigting na Ugnayan ng Mamamayan at Pulisya Laban sa Covid-19 Pandemya”.
