Ella Fajardo, a Filipino-American basketball player who’s a resident of New Jersey, already committed to Division I school Fairleigh Dickinson University.

The 5’6’’ point guard and member of the Gilas program will try to bring her court smarts and steady playstyle to the US.

“It has been my dream to get a quality college education and be able to play at the Division 1 level!” said Fajardo.

A former guard in Gil St. Bernard’s, Fajardo was able to make her last years a stellar one after averaging 13.35 points, 2.85 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.42 steals per contest.

The 17-year old Filipina rising star twice suited up for the Gilas squad and was able to help the PH clinch a quarterfinal spot in the World Cup last 2019.

Also, Fajardo was able to play for Gilas during the 2019 FIBA 3×3 Under-18 World Cup and the Under-18 Asia Cup.

“My story has not been easy and I am working hard everyday to prove myself over and over and to earn every victory and success that come my way,” she added.
