BACOLOD City – Mayor Neil Lizares of Talisay City, Negros Occidental said Tuesday that the city’s Patient No.4 tested negative for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Lizares said that aside from the 4-year-old patient, his mother and brother also tested negative for SARS-CoV-2, which causes the disease.
“The three were transported back to their home for strict and monitored 14-day home quarantine,” Lizares said.
The patient’s other relatives are still confined in the city’s quarantine facility while awaiting the results of their RT-PCR tests.
Lizares also said that the executive order imposing the lockdown on Purok Pasto will remain in the meantime.
He said strict quarantine measures will still be imposed for the security and safety of the residents in the area.
“I am grateful to all of you for showing your concern to our patients. Please make proper handwashing, proper wearing of your facemasks, and strict social distancing a routine in your households and outside,” Lizares reminded.
Talisay City has a total of 14 cases as of this writing.
