Iloilo province’s No. 2 most wanted person was collared Wednesday morning in Dumangas, Iloilo.
The arrest of Ambrosio Treveles, Jr. ended 15 years of skirting law enforcers.
Treveles, 38, of Barangay Pantalan, Ajuy town, was nabbed at Sitio Pajo, Barangay Paloc Sool.
Members of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO)-Provincial Intelligence Unit, Ajuy Police Station, and Dumangas Police Station led the operation against Treveles who is facing a charge for murder with the use of unlicensed firearm in Criminal Case Number 2005-3009.
Judge Rogelio Amador of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 66 in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo issued his arrest warrant.
The suspect yielded a homemade caliber .20 shotgun with three live ammunition, and a homemade rifle.
Police Major Gervinson Moyo, IPPO-PIU chief, said it took several days of information gathering and surveillance until they cornered Treveles.
Meanwhile, police arrested the No. 1 most wanted person in Miagao town on Tuesday.
Mark “Tamak” Anthony is wanted for frustrated murder on orders of RTC Branch 67 Judge Nelita Jesus Bacaling.
Police also collared on Wednesday the second most wanted person in Ajuy, Iloilo.
Members of Bingawan Police Station, in coordination with Ajuy Police Station, arrested 38-year-old Reymund Sierra:
He was charged for rape in relation to RA 7610 with no bail recommended.
