The PBA is eyeing a shortened conference once given the green light to get back in action for its upcoming 45th season.
After plans of mimicking the NBA bubble restart, PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said that the league is also looking at other options and that includes shortening the season to just one or two months of play.
“May nakaplano na kami. Nagpagawa na ako ng shortened at full conference na laro. Ipe-present pa rin namin sa board. Meron tayong hinahabol na appearance ng mga teams kada conference. Kailangan pag-usapan ‘yun,” said Marcial.
Marcial proposed a shortened season to make sure that they have enough resources for their planned PBA bubble which they are still reviewing.
Until now, Marcial and the board is still in search of the perfect venue to hold the PBA bubble with talks of Laguna, Subic, Cubao, and Clark.
However, the Inter-Agency Task Force still did not allow the PBA to resume aside from holding team practices but under strict health protocols.
