ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Capiz PNP’s support for the homeless and indigent families continues through the “Bahaynihan” project amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Police Colonel Julio Gustilo Jr., Capiz police director, said that in September, two “Bahaynihan” projects were initiated in the towns of Ivisan and Pilar.

The event was graced by Police Colonel Orly Gabinete, who represented the police director, together with Pilar Mayor Arnold A. Perez, Vice Mayor Doujie Jack Cantiller and other local officials.

Pilar’s second “Bahaynihan” recipient is a fisherman whose family was left homeless after a fire a month ago at Sitio Gintunuran, Brgy. Natividad.

As to the “Bahaynihan” update, the Capiz PPO has initiated 43 “Bahaynihan” projects province-wide, 36 houses of which have already been turned over to the recipients while 7 are still ongoing construction as of Sept 17, 2020.
