BACOLOD City – Twelve persons were arrested in the anti-illegal drugs operations in Negros Occidental over the weekend.
In San Carlos City, target subjects – Roldan Cantero, 28, of Barangay 2; and Antonio Despi, both residents of Barangay 6 were nabbed in a buy-bust in an abandoned house at Barangay 6 yesterday.
Major Mark Angelo Junco, city police chief, said Cantero and Despi were considered street level targets.
Also arrested were Ricardo Rodriguez, 35; Arnel Solitario, 32; Joemar Manayon, 36; Jenefred Patatag, 25; Jessie Alfon, 21; Diomedes Broce; Alex Mabida, 35; and Arvin Barbadillo, after they were caught visiting an alleged drug den, Junco said.
Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and San Carlos City Police Station conducted the operation, which led to the recovery of 20 grams of suspected shabu worth P136,000, foil, lighters, and the P100 marked money.
In Escalante City, Jerico Ationg, 25, of Barangay Mabini, a street level individual, was apprehended on the same day at Barangay Jonob-Jonob.
Police recovered from Ationg three sachets of suspected shabu worth P1,500, and the P500 marked money.
In Hinoba-an town, Rodolfo Canillo Jr., 23, of Barangay Talacagay was collared at Barangay Bacuyangan for the confiscation of P24,548 worth of suspected shabu, the P1,000 marked money, and a motorcycle.
Drug charges are being readied against the suspects.
