The Seattle Storm isn’t contented with the records they shattered this 2020 WNBA season unless they don’t get that chip.
Despite being up 2-0 against the Las Vegas Aces in the Finals, Seattle feels they still need to do more in order to punch the final two games in the win column to finally get crowned as the queens of the WNBA.
Superstar Sue Bird showed her dominance again in the last game, registering a double-double after scoring 16 points and diming the ball 10 times.
The 17-year veteran also shot the ball well, draining six of her nine attempts while also setting up the tempo for their offensive schemes.
Seattle’s convincing Game 2 victory broke the current WNBA record for most assists in a game in the finals after dishing-out a total of 33 assists on 40 shots.
Aside from the much-improved chemistry and familiarity for Seattle, they are also getting consistent performances from Breanna Stewart, Natasha Howard, and Alysha Clark.
The mentioned trio scored 22, 21, 21 respectively and proved to be too much for the Aces where they came in hot and fired from all cylinders.
Despite the Aces winning the rebounding battle 34-26, they turned the ball over 16 times which they can’t do again if they want to grab a victory against a well-coached and experienced Seattle squad.
Can Bird lift her team and win the WNBA title this season or will A’ja Wilson and Angel McCoughtry lead a resilient fight back to make things more interesting?
