Eumir Marcial’s professional boxing career is off to a promising start after earning a unanimous decision win in his debut bout.

With legendary trainer Freddie Roach in his corner, Marcial put on a clinic against the more-experienced Andrew Whitfield in a four-round domination.

All three judges scored in favor of Marcial after the Filipino landed 120 of his 310 punches while his opponent only managed to land 46.

Marcial was raring to go as soon as the bell sounded and approached his opponent with intensity, lining up his left hand for jabs and straights.

Freddie Roach’s training paid off as Marcial displayed excellent striking after managing to land 11 clean punches in the first minute of the fight alone.

After the fight, Marcial bared that he requested for a week off before resuming his training for the upcoming Olympics.
