Despite facing ups-and-downs in his career, Filipino Mixed Martial Artist Rolando Dy was able to weather the storm and spearheaded one of the most dramatic comebacks in Brave CF history.
Clinching two momentum-boosting victories in the past several months, the resurging Filipino was named as Brave CF’s Fighter of the Year.
“It’s truly an honor to have this award. This trophy is a testament to my dedication, hard work, and sacrifice to be one of the best fighters in the world. It is a very proud moment for myself, my family, and my beloved country, hopefully, this is the first of many,” shared Dy.
Dy’s convincing performance in his trip to Bahrain during Brave CF 42 was a head-turner after outdueling Maciek Gierszewski.
Taking his last two fights on short notices, Dy proved that he is ready no matter the circumstances are and showed his ring mastery and experience to finally get back on track in the sport he once ruled years before.
With a perfect return in the Brave CF scene, Dy hopes to continue the momentum he is in and vows to lift the championship belt once a title opportunity is up for grabs.
“2020 has been great for my career and personal life. I know this year has been difficult for a lot of people, but let this be a reminder to never give up in the face of adversity. Challenges are made to make us grow and strong. Just hang in there and keep on fighting,” Dy added.
