BPLO targets over 16k business renewals in Iloilo City

The Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) targets issuing over 16,000 business renewal permits in the metro this January as businesses try to slowly recover from the COVID-19.

 

On Monday, January 4, 2021, Iloilo City has started issuing business renewal permits. According to BPLO head Norman Tabud, they target to issue 16,136 business permits on the prescribed period from Jan. 4 to Jan. 20, 2021.

Due to the threats of COVID-19, Tabud said the city government established off-site venues outside the City Hall to hasten the processing of business permits and prevent the overcrowding of people.

 

Matalunsay subong ang pagrenew because as part of our measures para malikawan ang paglapta sang COVID-19, nagplastar kita sang off-site venues nga pwede makabayad ang pumuluyo,” he said.

Currently, the off-site venues are located at Festive Walk Mall, SM City Iloilo, and Gaisano ICC in the Mandurriao district; and at Robinson’s Iloilo Main in the City Proper district. Tabud said they are still consolidating the number of business renewal permits issued on the past two days.

 

Meanwhile, business establishments who have permanently closed in the metro due to COVID-19 pandemic reached over 400, according to Tabud. The BPLO chief expressed positive outlook this year as economy slowly recovers with the easing of the quarantine restrictions in the metro.

 

For online business permit renewals, applicants may download and fill-up the Declaration of Gross Receipts (DGR) and submit via email to icbusrenewal2021@gmail.com.Thereafter, download, print and sign the DGR and Tax Order of payment sent in the email. Payments can be made at the cashier window in the City Hall or in any off-site venues located in the malls in the metro. (ERS)
