The Police Regional Office 6 held its Traditional Flag Raising Ceremony and the 27th PNP Ethics Day Celebration with the theme: “Nagkakaisang Pambansang Pulisya Sama-sama sa Serbisyong Tapat at Marangal para sa Bayan” at the PRO6 grandstand of Camp Gen. Martin Teofilo B. Delgado, Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City on Jan 4, 2021.
The guest of honor and speaker of the event was Atty Joseph S. Celis, Regional Director of the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM)-6. The highlight of the celebration is the awarding of medals to deserving PNP personnel.
Major Jojo Tabaloc and PSSgt Jade Po Jorillo of Iloilo PPO and Police Lieutenant Paul Vincent Pendon and PCpl Adonis Cabalhin of Bacolod City PO were awarded the Medalya ng Kgalingan for the successful buybust operations they conducted in their respective units.
PCpl Ramje Siapno Guevarra of Capiz PPO was given the Medalya ng Papuri for his “Good Deeds” after returning a lost wallet containing P40,000 cash. In his message, Atty. Celis extended his appreciation and gratitude to the men and women of Police Regional Office 6 for their contribution in the maintenance of peace and order and for their dedication in protecting the people of Western Visayas.
“I can see that it is not easy to wear those boots” Celis pointed out as he recognized the efforts of PNP in law enforcement and field service. Celis also said that he appreciates the selfless service of the policemen in Western Visayas who puts the service before their loved ones. He also reminded the police personnel to take care of their families for their draw their strength in them.
A thanksgiving was also offered by PRO-6 which was conducted after the flag raising ceremony at the PRO6 Chapel. The PNP Ethics Day is celebrated annually to remind all PNP personnel the importance of good moral and ethics in doing its day-to-day obligation.
