Last January 9, 2021, Partido sang Mainuswagon nga Bumulutho (PMB), UPV Negrense, and the University of the Philippines Visayas, in partnership with UPV DUCES and Negrosanon Young Leaders Institute, Inc. (NYLI), launched “Padayon Negrosanon,” a donation drive that aims to help the victims of the recent heavy flooding in Northern Negros Occidental.
The organizations aim to reach at least 17,000 families within the affected areas in Victorias City, Silay City, Talisay City, and EB Magalona.
Together with the guidance services center, UP Visayas Office of Student Affairs reached out to UPV students who reside in the areas.
On January 15, the first batch of relief goods was distributed to Barangays 1 and 13 of Victorias City.
Currently, the donation drive has accumulated 36 905.10 pesos worth of monetary donations, and more in-kind donations are being repacked and prepared for distribution.
Padayon Negrosanon will continue to accept donations until Friday, January 22, 2021.
