ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A wanted person from San Enrique, Iloilo voluntarily surrendered to Mambusao Municipal Police Station in Mambusao, Capiz Sunday night.
Jesmar Agtas, 28, of Barangay Catan-agan, San Enrique, Iloilo spent Valentines’ Day at the police station.
Agtas has a pending warrant of arrest for reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property in Criminal Case No. C-2216.
Judge Joevy Valenzuela of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court in Mambusao issued the arrest warrant on February 10, 2021.
A PHP30,000 bail was recommended for Agtas’ temporary liberty.
He is presently detained at the Mambusao Municipal Police Station.
Meanwhile, the police of Dumarao released from detention on Monday a 22-year-old person who allegedly stabbed a neighbor in Barangay Codingle, Dumarao, Capiz.
This after Felix Berto Bedia executed an affidavit of non-interest to file charges against Renan Gabio, 30.
Police Senior Master Sergeant Rey Betera of Dumarao PNP said the two figured in a misunderstanding regarding the suspect’s noisy motorcycle muffler or tambutso.
Gabio allegedly punched Bedia’s mouth and the latter fought back.
Gabio then stabbed the victim on the shoulder.
The two were drunk when the incident happened.
