BACOLOD City – Police have yet to identify a man whose body was found in the waters of Guimaras-Sum-ag in Barangay Sum-ag here yesterday.
Lieutenant Lanie Deriada, head of Police Station 9, said two fishermen found the victim’s body floating past 9AM while they were fishing in the area.
Deriada said the fishermen tied the victim’s leg to the boat and took him to the shore.
The victim was around 5 feet tall and in his 20s, the station commander said.
Deriada said some families already went to the funeral parlor to check the identity of the victim, but nobody has claimed the cadaver, as of 4PM Wednesday.
She said there was no missing individual reported in her area in the past weeks.
However, she could not tell if the victim was a resident of Sum-ag village or from outside Bacolod.
