JB ABL set to kickoff second leg of basketball events in Iloilo City

After the JB Amateur Basketball League’s (JB ABL) three-point shootout, the second leg will begin this Sunday, February 28.

Commissioner Jayphet Balbacal and the rest of the JB ABL committee will be holding the JB ABL Slam Dunk competition.

Thirteen of the best dunkers from Iloilo City will be vying for the prestigious championship trophy and the title of “Iloilo and JB ABL’s best dunker of the year.”

Menard Songcuya (Toto Tia Ten XYZ), Reglyn Yob Paclibar (Raflyn Sportswear/Marielle), Ronrei Tolentino (MGC Surplus Spareparts/Wildcats), Fritz Suclan (XYZ), Winefredo Fernandez (XYZ), Charles Taladtad (TJ “Cong Tawi” Basketball), Joshua Maquiling (CTG Commercial), and Mark Kristian Jimenez (RC Sports/ Wildcats) comprise the first half of dunkers in the JB ABL Slam Dunk competition.

Finalizing the roster of dunkers are Franc Steven Tono (Letran Asialink/E&C Trucking), Kein Apitong (Marielle Ball Club), Ian Carl Gasacao (Tigbauan Ninjas), Sherwin Diana (Guimaras Leopards), and Jonel Pecate (Langford Queens Ballclub).

“We will be bringing you JB ABL Aquarius Marine Services Slam Dunk Competition sini nga Sunday. With the successful three-point shootout a few weeks ago, I hope consistent kita sa pag abide sang safety protocols especially pandemic pa. Guaranteed in line with the City government ang aton event and all protocols are still under the IATF. Kitaktis kita tanan!” said commissioner Balbacal in an exclusive interview with the Daily Guardian.
