The 2021 TOWER (The Outstanding Workers of the Republic) Awards accepts nominations for the search of the country’s most outstanding non-supervisory, blue-collar and white-collar workers who created original, exceptional and significant innovations that created impact to the overall performance of the department or company he is working with.
The award aims to recognize the employee’s excellence and contribution to economic development while uplifting the Filipino workers’ morale, enhancing individual career opportunities and promoting industrial peace.
“We are calling on Filipino workers whose excellence, ingenuity and innovativeness have contributed to the development and progress of the country,” Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-6 6 Regional Director Cyril L. Ticao.
“The TOWER Awards will recognize your efforts in promoting economic growth and productivity in your workplaces through innovations.”
Organized by the Rotary Club of Manila (RCM) and the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) and in partnership with DOLE, the TOWER Awards program will honor outstanding workers in the private manufacturing and service industries.
The nomination is open to all Filipino citizen, non-supervisory blue-collar and white-collar workers whose contribution is directly involved in the basic, main or supporting activity of the enterprise.
RD Ticao said that the TOWER Awards program looks into the employee’s active involvement in the conceptualization and in the execution of the idea/invention, and in the continuity of the innovation that must have been utilized for a minimum of two (2) years.
Aside from possessing a good moral character, the nominee must have a consistent record of high performance for the past three (3) years and had outstanding achievements or contributions that enhance the trade, skills or occupation through original, innovative ideas, systems and designs that have been beneficial to the company and the work place.
The winners in the 2021 TOWER Awards will receive a TOWER trophy and a Php75,000 cash prize.
