The Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup officials were quick to release their decision regarding the controversial game between the Siquijor Mystics and the Lapu-Lapu Heroes.
VisMin Super Cup COO Rocky Chan himself announced that Siquijor will now be banned in the debuting professional league while players and coaches of Lapu-Lapu will be indefinitely suspended.
Aside from the suspension, the coaches and players of the entire Lapu-Lapu roster will be facing a 220,000-peso fine.
This comes after a controversial series of events during their game where players missed wide-open layups and hit all-board free throws consecutively.
Games and Amusement Board (GAB) chairman Abraham Mitra and Chooks-to-Go president Ronald Mascariñas expressed how disappointed they were with what the players showed during the game.
PBA players like Kiefer Ravena, Marc Pingris, CJ Perez, Joe Devance, and Paul Lee also took offense with how the players disrespected the sport with their unsportsmanlike play on the court.
