Six persons were arrested in a police operation at Brgy. Zamora-Melliza City Proper Friday evening.
Police Captain Shella Mae A Sangrines, Officer-In-Charge of Iloilo City Police Station 1 under the supervision of Police Colonel Uldarico A Garbanzos, Acting Iloilo City Police Director, identified the six wanted persons as Jimbo Jasper Pacheco, 19; Jansen Piagola, 18; and four 16-year-olds. All are residents of Dela Rama Compound at Brgy. Zamora-Melliza.
In just one night, operatives of ICPS-1 and the Women and Children’s Protection Desk (WCPD) Duty Investigator with a representative from the City Social Worker and Development Office (CSWDO) arrested the suspects for an attempted homicide charge in Criminal Case Number 21-86242.
Iloilo Regional Trial Court Branch 27 Judge Elijo Sharon R. Herrera-Bellones issued the arrest warrant on April 5, 2021.
The respondents are accused of attacking a tricycle driver at Zamora-Melliza.
“The ICPO-PNP is relentless in our pursuit of criminals which interfere with the peace and order situation of the City,” Sangrines said.
Presently, Pacheco and Piagola are in the custody of ICPS-1 while the minors were turned over to Dalayunan Home for Boys in Brgy. Bo. Obrero Lapuz, Iloilo City.
