SMART Sports will be showing their utmost support to one of Gilas Pilipinas’ young cadets in Ken Tuffin as a professional in the New Zealand-National Basketball League.

The former Far Eastern University Tamaraw swingman is debuting for his hometown the Wellington Saints and will seek to impress after a solid rookie year in the pros.

SMARTS Sports official will be airing Tuffin and the Saints’ first game against the Otaga Nuggets today at 3:30 PM on their official Facebook page.

“I know my role playing alongside elite one-on-one players like our imports and our captain Dion Prewster. I will always be there to shoot and play D, just picking my spots to shine,” said Tuffin.

After Tuffin’s presence during last year’s Gilas Pilipinas training camp, the FEU star immediately flew to New Zealand after the professional league was already given the green light by the government to resume.

Tuffin grew up in New Zealand and it has always been his dream to play for the place where he grew up and developed himself.

“Our assistant Coach Kenny was the one who introduced me to the game. Furthermore, Coach Kenny was there in the camp when FEU first came over to scout and recruit me in 2015,” added Tuffin.
