BACOLOD City – A curfew violator died after he suffered a heart attack while hiding from a village watchman at Barangay 1, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental last Sunday.

Police Lieutenant Ruby Aurita, deputy police chief of San Carlos City Police Station, said the 39-year-old tricycle driver, along with his friend, were hiding at a vacant house around 11 p.m. to avoid being caught by a roving barangay tanod.

Aurita said the victim’s companion left him to ask for help when he complained he had difficulty in breathing. However, when his companion returned the victim was already found lifeless.

“Wala man sila nadakpan, Kinulbaan lang siguro, ginkapos sa pag ginhawa, nag lain matyag,” she added.

Aurita said they haven’t figured out their reason for being outside of their houses while the province is implementing curfew hours from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Aurita said there was no foul play in the incident.
