The recent developments regarding Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao’s future fight are finally being revealed as a new challenger is set to replace WBO welterweight king Terence Crawford.
Pacquiao’s business manager, Arnold Vegafria, recently posted a teaser poster on his Instagram account with Pacquiao and foe Mikey Garcia together with the caption “soon”.
Details in the poster also included Dubai, UAE as the venue of the blockbuster fight with the date 2021.
Previously, Top Rank Promotions head honcho Bob Arum confirmed that the Pacquiao-Crawford fight is already good to go but an unnamed investor still wasn’t able to commit, the reason for the delay of the proposed dream match.
Pacquaio and his camp confirmed that they will be accepting the Crawford fight if Arum can secure the $40 million as their guaranteed amount but no progress has been reported a month since releasing the statement.
Meanwhile, Paradigm Sports Management, the company that co-owns the rights for the promotional deals and the fights of the Filipino living legend, moved on to another fighter.
Vegafria, together with associates Jake Joson and Ping Nepomuceno and lawyer Brandon Viernesto are members of Paradigm headed by Audie Attar.
Pacquiao is already doing light workouts for two weeks now with long-time trainers Buboy Fernandez and Nonoy Neri in preparation for his next fight.
