BACOLOD City – The Ilog Municipal Police Station in Negros Occidental has not found any evidence of foul play in the death of a fisherman who was found in a river at Barangay II last Wednesday.
Police Lieutenant Alfonso Precia, officer-in-charge of Ilog Municipal Police Station, identified the victim as Alexander Agito, 63, of the said village.
Precia said the victim went fishing on Tuesday night, as what he would regularly do, according to his family.
Early the following day, his lifeless body was found by a resident who also went fishing that day.
Precia said the victim’s family believed that he drowned in the river.
“Basi guro gin atake kag nalumos kay may ginabatyag na kuno na sakit ulo kag lingin ulo pero wala kapa check-up,” he added.
