Indeed, it’s #SanaAllIloilo in the world of sports.

Despite the uncertainties posted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Iloilo City Sports Development Division headed by Executive Assistant for Sports and Youth Rudiver Jungco Sr. still has a treat for Ilonggo athletes.

The Iloilo Sports Division successfully organized its first wave of online events which features virtual arnis, virtual skateboarding and virtual freestyle football.

Athletes already passed their entries to the organizing body and will be subjected to scheduled uploading for the Ilonggos to watch.

Several entries in the virtual skateboarding and freestyle football were already uploaded on the Iloilo Sports Division’s Facebook page and were stormed with positive feedback from netizens.

New to the eyes of the Ilonggos, the virtual football freestyle features the young football athletes of the City of Love whipping magic with the ball using their best tricks to impress.

Aside from sports, also included in the virtual activity is an online rap song writing competition, an event that Jungco planned to help aspiring Ilonggo athletes shine through their talent.

Jungco hopes the medium can become a platform where the local rappers can vent out what they want to say.

“Sa subong, as also the executive assistant for the youth, it is also my obligation to look out for the mental health sang aton fellow Ilonggos. This is a treat to them,” said Jungco in an exclusive interview with the Daily Guardian.
