Farm manager shot dead

BACOLOD City – A farm manager was gunned down by unidentified armed men at Hacienda Dalayapan, Barangay Caduhaan, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental last Tuesday.

Authorities identified the victim as Manalo Porre, 51, of the said village.

Investigation indicated that Porre was riding his motorcycle on his way to Hacienda Dalayapan to supervise his workers when he was ambushed while approaching the sugarcane plantation.

The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds which led to his immediate death.

Police recovered from the scene six empty shells of caliber 5.56 ammunition, four live caliber 5.56 ammos, five empty shells of caliber .45 ammunition, and a slug of unknown caliber.

Police have yet to determine the motive for the killing.
