Johnriel Casimero thinks that his upcoming fight against veteran Guillermo Rigondeaux will be a walk in the park.
Oozing with confidence, the World Boxing Organization (WBO) bantamweight champion predicts that Rigondeaux will fall and won’t last against him inside six rounds.
“Rigo is an easy fight. He’ll get knocked out within six rounds,” said the Filipino slugger on Powcast Sports.
On the other hand, Rigondeaux, one of the finest boxers that Cuba has produced, will put his bantamweight World Boxing Association (WBA) title at stake for the unification against Casimero.
The Cuban legend is considered to be one of the most technical boxers to ever set foot on the ring and is no stranger to Filipino boxers after beating former bantamweight king Nonito Donaire last 2013.
However, Casimero is looking to extend his winning streak since crushing the hard-punching Duke Micah a few months ago.
Also, by defeating Rigondeaux, Casimero will now have a sure spot of earning a fight with Naoya “Monster” Inoue for the final bantamweight unification.
Casimero and the Manny Pacquiao (MP) Promotions have been chasing Inoue for already a year now and snatching the WBA belt from the Cuban will present a stronger case to determine the king of the division.
