World no.1 e-kata athlete James De Los Santos is back on track and dominated the SportData E-Tournament World Series for another international gold medal.
The prized Filipino karateka is seeking to maintain his world no. 1 rank and pulled off a spectacular performance once again to add more points under his belt.
De Los Santos’ foe in the final stage was a familiar affair after setting up another thriller against Alfredo Bustamante of USA.
PH’s no. 1 e-kata athlete used his go-to technique of Unsu and edged Bustamante, 25.2-24.3 to add another medal tally in just six months of action.
De Los Santos was also fresh off another gold medal finish during the recently concluded International ENDAS Karate Trophy #2 and wasted no time joining the prestigious SportData tournament.
It was a tough road to e-kata supremacy as De Los Santos faced all of his fierce rivals since last year.
De Los Santos was able to take down big name after big name starting with Matias Moreno Dormont of Switzerland and Canada’s Jimmy Baillargeon.
The huge SportData victory gave De Los Santos his 25th overall of the year and his 61st medal since starting his international e-kata stint.
