Kaya FC-Iloilo went big time with their best off-season move after signing former Azkals Development Team (ADT) superstar booter Jarvey Gayoso.
The Iloilo-based football team announced the development on its official Facebook page that shocked most of the Philippines Football League (PFL) fans.
Kaya FC will be making another case for PFL glory after failing to clinch the championship title for the past year and a half.
Gayoso came into the spotlight during last season’s PFL bubble after carrying the ADT squad to several wins against the best professional players in the country.
Formerly a left-back, Gayoso can also play the striker position and tallied four total goals during his debut in the PFL as pros.
Gayoso’s high-level performance earned him a spot in the current roster of the PH Azkals who are currently battling their hearts out in the joint FIFA and AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.
Before the development was confirmed, Thai football team Muangthong United attempted to acquire his services to play in the Thai League 1 and would have several Azkals veterans who were also tapped to play as imports.
