ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A total of 27,471 Capicenos were vaccinated against coronavirus disease (COVID-19), or 5% target of eligible population of 545,494.
Data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) indicated that 10,934 individuals have completed their second dose. They include 8,275 frontline healthcare workers, 1,627 senior citizens and 1,032 persons from 18 to 59 years old with comorbidity.
The PHO also reported that 19,130 received Sinovac vaccine and 8,341 with AstraZeneca for their first dose.
On the other hand, 10,832 got their second dose of Sinovac vaccine and 99 for AstraZeneca.
At present, vaccination is ongoing at the 17 Local Government Units and the Capiz Provincial Vaccination Center.
Meanwhile, of the 5,585 persons that were vaccinated in Roxas City, 3,951 got their first dose while 1,634 received the second dose.
Majority of those vaccinated belonged to A1-Health Care Workers.
About 1,993 received the first jab and 1,379 for the second dose.
985 persons belonging to the Senior Citizens group received the first dose while 132 got the second dose.
For Adults with Comorbidity, 973 already got their first jab while 123 completed the second dose.
Mayor Ronnie Dadivas said that he is coordinating with the national government for additional vaccines.
