One of the most wanted persons in Badiangan, Iloilo was arrested morning of June 22, 2021 in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Vergil Carnaje, 47, was nabbed at his house in Sitio Nabilog, Barangay Tagok, Kabankalan City.
Carnaje, who hails from Barangay Astorga, Badiangan, is the town’s fifth most wanted person.
Members of Badiangan Police Station, Regional Intelligence Division, 604th Company of the Regional Mobile Battalion 6 (RMFB-6) and Kabankalan City Police Station arrested the suspect for homicide docketed as Criminal Case 16-77507.
Judge Ma. Yolanda Panaguiton Gavino of the Regional Trial Court 6 (RTC-6) Branch 34, Iloilo City issued the arrest warrant on April 28, 2016.
Bailbond was set at P40,000.
Meanwhile, three wanted persons from Cabatuan, Iloilo were also arrested in separate operations morning of Tuesday.
Members of the PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group-Visayas Field Unit and Cabatuan Police Station collared Roel Licera, 46 and Samson Licera, 63, of Barangay Gines Patag, Cabatuan around 10:45 a.m.
The two were charged for frustrated murder docketed under Criminal Case No. 21-1048.
Judge Gemalyn Faunillo Tarol of the Regional Trial Court 6 (RTC-6) Branch 76, Janiuay, Iloilo issued the arrest warrant on June 18, 2021. Bailbond for their temporary freedom was set at P200,000.
Ten minutes after their arrest, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) – Iloilo Field Unit and Cabatuan PNP arrested Winefredo Alde, 68, a resident of Barangay Tiring, Cabatuan.
Judge Tarol issued the arrest warrant against the suspect for two counts of attempted murder with bailbond set at P120,000.
The suspects are now detained.
