BACOLOD City – Around 20 personnel of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) were vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) since April 17.
Police Major Sherlock Gabana, BCPO information officer, said that most of the vaccinated policemen were COVID-19 contact tracers and those with comorbidities.
Gabana said they were inoculated with Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines.
In fact, Gabana was among those who received the Sinovac vaccine last Wednesday.
The vaccinated personnel were from the BCPO headquarters and various police stations here.
Gabana said the vaccination rollout among the BCPO personnel started after they were given clearance by the regional headquarters.
However, there has been no definite schedule yet for the next batch of vaccinees.
Gabana said that Police Colonel Manuel Placido, BCPO director, has not been vaccinated yet.
The BCPO has a total strength of 700 personnel.
