Finally, the highly-anticipated debut of third overall pick Mikey Williams will be witnessed just in time when the PBA kicks off its 46th season.

After Williams faced some issued regarding his documents, the quick combo guard is finally on his way to the Philippines and will be joining TNT Tropang Giga after clearing COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

Due to Bobby Ray Parks Jr’s departure from the team and Jayson Castro still recovering from injuries he suffered during the bubble, the Tropang Giga will be looking to start the top pick and fill in the shoes offensively.

Williams had a brief stint during the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) and showcased how great of a scorer he is.

Standing at six-foot-two, Williams’ size and length at the point guard position will always pose a mismatch against other guards in the league.

During his MPBL stint, Williams would blow by guards using his speed and would bully smaller defenders in the post down in the block.

With no definite timetable for Castro’s return, Williams will have to step up together with RR Pogoy and Troy Rosario.
