The Philippine Basketball Association decided to scrap two games today after four players from the TNT Tropang Giga have “returned tests that were either positive or need to be confirmed for COVID-19 under government-approved league protocols.”

According to the league, the four players will be tested again and are currently under isolation while those who tested negative will also undergo re-swabbing.

Following the results, the PBA scrapped the game between the Tropang Giga and the Magnolia Hotshots and the Alaska Aces going up against Terrafirma.

The reason why the league also canceled the game for Terrafirma was because they were under the close contact list of TNT as they battled each other on the court last Saturday.

Despite all the players and coaching staff of Terrafirma testing negative, the PBA still subjected them for re-swabbing and are also undergoing isolation same as TNT.

Replacing the scrapped double-header schedule are the Phoenix LPG clashing with the NorthPort Batang Pier at 3:00 PM followed by the Alaska Aces and Magnolia at 6:00 PM.
